Your opportunity:

We are recruiting for a Program Coordinator to support both the Joint Paramedicine program and the Health Professions Certificate program. You will report to both the department of Health and Society and the Dean’s Office, contributing to the overall success of the two programs. Your main duties will be program coordination, working closely with students and faculty during regular hours and off hours potentially on weekends or evening, as well as liaising with internal and external stakeholders, such as the UTSC’s Registrar’s office, other UofT Divisions and Centennial College. Your time will be equally split between program coordination of the Joint Paramedicine program and the administration and development of the Pathways to Health Professions Certificate.

This position will be the first point of contact for prospective students for the two programs, providing detailed, accurate, and timely information. You will also provide current students with advice on academic and financial matters, as well as supporting students with planning relevant to student academic progress and next steps after graduation, each relating to individual circumstances. Moreover, this position will analyze enrollment data for projections and planning activities. This position will require work on evenings and off hours as well as a commitment to program building and fully supporting these programs as they move through governance processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing detailed information on program and/or course eligibility requirements, procedures, policies and deadlines, and promoting programs at recruitment events
  • Analyzing course enrolment and waitlisted numbers to identify need for additional lecture sections and reviewing and assessing admissions applications
  • Analyzing statistical information to inform enrollment projections and planning
  • Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
  • Consulting with instructors, administrators, and student groups on the development of tailored programming needs
  • Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders and liaising between departments
  • Implementing plans and process improvements for clinical placement activities and verifying the accuracy of course enrollment/clinical placement information
  • Circulating files to senior staff and/or admissions committees and relaying and/or gathering information from senior leadership with clear and direct communication

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in health administration or health related discipline.
  • Minimum four years working in the health professions field, preferably in a post-secondary institution
  • Knowledge and experience working with faculty in the health professions field as well as clinical and allied health programs
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Evidence of initiative, diplomacy and excellent judgement
