Course Description: To complete the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP), a candidate must complete six modules: two core modules, two elective modules and two capstone modules. The Capstone modules are culminating courses; in them, a candidate demonstrates what they have learned over the course of the CPA PEP. Both modules are common to all CPA candidates, and are taken after successful completion of the core and elective modules.  The MMPA program is unique in that students enrolled in the MMPA program are exempt from the earlier modules and MMPA candidates are allowed to the complete the Capstone Integrative Module as part of their program.


Course Title: MGT 2284 - Capstone – Integrative Board Report

 

Number of positions: 1

 

Estimated course enrollment: 81 students

 

Estimated TA support: 120 hours

 

Sessional dates of appointment: May 14, 2025 - July 11, 2025

 

Salary: $56.26 + 4% vacation pay (CUPE dues deducted by accounting officer)

 

Qualifications: 

  • CPA (qualified) with significant professional marking experience, preferably with PEP Capstone One exposure; excellent business and strategy skills/knowledge (multiple TAs may be hired for this course)

 

Description of duties: 

  • Creating and marking course deliverables and providing detailed feedback to students on a timely basis
  • Individual debrief with students
  • Assisting in developing relevant rubrics
  • Maintaining and tracking grades
  • Assistance in organizing group/panel presentations
