Course description:
A study of the morphological system of modern French, its relationship to syntax and phonology; theoretical notions derived from the analysis of specific data. Special attention will be given to the methods of analysis and classification, as well as selected morphological categories (verbs, nouns, etc.).

Salary:
Sessional Lecturer I - $9,457.90 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $9,930.79 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)
Sessional Lecturer II - $10,121.77 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $10,326.62 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)
Sessional Lecturer III - $10,362.76 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term - $10,570.02 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)
Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Minimum qualifications:
Doctoral-level studies in French or Linguistics.
Mastery of subject material (French Morphology) with a background in French Linguistics.
(Near-)native competence in spoken and written French.
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching this course, or a similar course at the university-level, is preferred.
Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II and Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12.
Description of duties:
All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a University credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; out-of-class interactions with students via e-mail and office hours; development, administration and marking of assignments,tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; ordering of all necessary readings; supervision of TAs (if any) assigned to the course.
