Description:

The Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University Health Network/Sinai Health (UHN/SH) at the University of Toronto is seeking a full-time, permanent Academic Neurologist with a focus on Stroke. The candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor with the position description of Clinician Teacher at the University of Toronto. The effective start date is at a mutually agreed upon date up to December 1, 2025. 

 

The successful candidate will hold a MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). They will have specific additional training such as a Master’s degree or equivalent. Furthermore, the candidate must have completed a Stroke Fellowship program and have established expertise in clinical care in Stroke. Clinical stroke service will be in the Krembil Stroke & Neurovascular Program for on-call, inpatient and outpatient care. Teaching duties will include fellows, postgraduate residents and undergraduate medial students as per Division of Neurology requirements.

 

Academic appointment will be within the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto at Assistant Professor or higher. The successful applicant will be appointed at UHN/SH and be a member of the UHN/SH practice plan; compensation will be commensurate with training and experience, starting at $200,000 and based on fee for service. Health benefits package is available through the Practice Plan
