Description:

Sinai Health (SH) and University Health Network (UHN), in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto is seeking an Academic Neurologist with interest in surgical/DBS and advanced therapies for the Movement Disorders Clinic at the Krembil Brain Institute, UHN. The successful applicant must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment as a Clinician Investigator or Clinician Teacher at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor within the Department of Medicine in the Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto. The effective start date is Sept 1st, 2025, or a mutually agreed upon date.

 

The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). They must have both additional training with a Clinical Fellowship in Movement Disorders and DBS/Advanced therapies or equivalent and a Master’s degree or equivalent. They must have established expertise focusing on the comprehensive management of patients with Movement Disorders and selection for surgery and advanced therapies. Research interests must be within surgical and advanced therapies for movement disorders. Teaching duties will include residents, medical students, and continuing medical education as per Division of Neurology.

 

The successful applicant will be appointed at UHN/SH and be a member of the UHN/SH practice plan; compensation will be commensurate with training and experience, starting at $200,000 and based on fee for service. Health benefits package is available through the Practice Plan.
