The Department of Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Division of General Internal Medicine at Women’s College Hospital (WCH) are seeking to recruit an Academic General Internist with a position description of Clinician Teacher or Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI). The successful candidate must either already hold or be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Effective start date is September 1, 2025, or earlier if mutually agreeable.
The successful candidate will hold an M.D. and FRCPC qualifications (or equivalent specialist designation) with certification in General Internal Medicine. Applicants must have or be eligible for licensure in the province of Ontario. The ideal candidate must also have completed or be currently enrolled in post-residency advanced training in education or quality improvement. The candidate should have a career focused on ambulatory medicine including the development and implementation of innovative ambulatory models of care and/or education innovation and curriculum development. The candidate may have the opportunity to supervise inpatient General Internal Medicine care at other Department of Medicine teaching hospital sites.
The successful candidate should be an effective teacher, committed to sustained excellence in teaching and scholarly contributions to teaching and education. In addition, the ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills and have demonstrated capacity and aptitude for effective interdisciplinary clinical and scholarly team collaboration and interactions.

Academic rank, salary and contractual arrangements will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Remuneration will be based on the candidate's specific criteria, including experience, skills, education, and training.
