The Department of Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Division of Rheumatology at Women’s College Hospital (WCH) are seeking to recruit a Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI). The successful candidate must either already hold or be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Effective start date is July 1, 2025, or a mutually agreeable date.
The ideal candidate will hold an M.D. and FRCPC qualifications (or equivalent specialist designation) with certification in Rheumatology. The ideal candidate will have advanced training in quality improvement (Masters in QI or equivalent). Advanced training in musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound is an asset. The candidate should have a career focused on providing outstanding clinical care for rheumatology patients, experience and demonstration of success in scholarly endeavors in the field of Quality Improvement, excellence in rheumatology teaching at all levels, and be proficient in the use of MSK ultrasound for clinical care and in teaching. In addition, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and demonstrated capacity and aptitude for effective interdisciplinary clinical and scholarly team collaboration and interactions. For applicants being considered for an appointment as a Clinician in Quality & Innovation, excellence will be assessed by advanced training in quality improvement or equivalent, successful quality improvement initiatives, evidence of practice and/or equipment innovations, and where applicable depending on stage of career, invitations to significant conferences, and accolades.

Academic rank, salary and contractual arrangements will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Remuneration will be based on the candidate's specific criteria, including experience, skills, education, and training.
