Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and under the general direction of the AV and Event Services Lead, the Audio-Visual Coordinator is responsible for the providing a broad range of moderately complex audio visual and media services at Innis College, including Innis Town Hall and classrooms. This includes functioning as a live event technician for classes and events and maintenance of all film, video, data projection and audio equipment and resources. The AV Coordinator serves as a resource to others by providing job-related guidance and is a contact for faculty and other supportstaff in the daily audio-visual operations of Innis College, including the running of classes, film screening, lectures, and tutorials.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating support technologies for classes and events, including digital projectors, playback sources, livestreaming, audio consoles, lightning consoles.
- Setting-up and maintaining audio/visual systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Performing preventive maintenance on audio-visual equipment
- Advising on scheduling the setup and takedown of equipment required for events
- Implementing a rollout plan for new audio-visual technologies
- Editing post-production audio and/or visual material
- Following-up with end-users on outstanding technical issues and checking that the work is completed to the satisfaction of the client.
- Tracking service metrics to inform continuous service improvements.
- Creating and editing support documentation.
Essential Qualifications:
- Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience working with audio-visual, electronic classroom and computer systems, and rear-screen projection and video equipment.
- Experience screening films, videos and other related presentations.
- Experience with live audio mixing and livestreaming.
- Experience setting up, testing, troubleshooting, and taking down equipment for events.
- Experience updating knowledge and process documents.
- Advanced working knowledge of MAC OS, Windows OS and MS Office suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills,with ability to successfully convey technical information to clients with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to demonstrate creativity, manual dexterity, initiative and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately, prioritize, and deal with multiple tasks to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement, initiative, tact and diplomacy in working with numerous stakeholders.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 09 -- $66,715. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $85,319. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
