Description:

 

The Banquet Server is responsible for food and drink serving duties while interacting with guests in positive, friendly, and efficient manner. Pillars for this position include tact, diplomacy, attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity

 

Typical Duties: 

•    Review Banquet Event Order (BEO`s) at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
•    Set up for events by putting out place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet.
•    Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
•    Understands and can communicate products and services available.
•    Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service.
•    Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guests to Banquet Supervisor.
•    Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
•    Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
•    Provide all group guests with a lasting experiences with intent for return business.
•    Ensure proper use, storage of all banquet equipment.
•    Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas.

 

Qualifications

 

Education: 
•    High School diploma or GED.

 

Experience: 
•    Previous serving experience.

 

Other: 
•    Excellent oral communication skills.
•    Positive interpersonal skills.
•    Must speak English and be able to write in English.
•    Smart Serve certification.
