Description:

 

Under the general direction of the Senior Business Analyst, this position is responsible for the Financial Information System (FIS) training and system documentation and will ensure that end users are provided with timely and accurate system support and training.  The incumbent provides support to the University Divisions regarding system processes and with the interpretation and application of the University policies as documented in the Guide to Financial Management (GTFM). The incumbent will provide system support, recommend and implement system changes/improvements and provide training through the use of a variety of tools. As a member of the F.A.S.T. team the incumbent will make recommendations and provide advice with respect to existing or proposed UofT business processes, respond to AMS help-line queries as well as assist in the development of system specifications based on end-user requirements and the creation and updating of end-user documentation.  

 

Qualifications Required:

 

I.    EDUCATION:

 

University degree with knowledge of accounting principles and practices or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Enrolment in the CMA or CGA accounting program a definite asset.


II.    EXPERIENCE:

 

•    Minimum 3 years of end user training and systems support within an institution of higher education or not-for-profit setting;
•    Experience developing and designing training programs, educational sessions, and materials for all levels of end user system knowledge
•    Experience in a business and or client service environment with direct exposure to FIS processes and procedures.  
•    Related experience includes accounting, Business Officer, project management or business systems experience.  Knowledge of the administrative management systems with specific focus on SAP applications (FIS and HRIS). 

 

III.    OTHER:

 

Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills; strong training and presentation skills; good analytical ability; able to deal with staff at all levels; high aptitude for client relations; responsive to client needs; able to provide solution based support to users.  Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment in the application of established guidelines, policies and procedures.   Must possess the ability to deal strategically and effectively with multiple priorities.  Knowledge of Power Point, Excel, Word, INFO-PAK/UPerform and experience in managing web site applications.

 

Note: This is a part time (50% FTE) term role ending May 2025. Some overtime may be required at year end.
