The Office of the Registrar is responsible for student recruitment and admissions, direct and online service to current students, including registration, financial aid, scholarships, academic assessments, graduation and petitions. It also provides course scheduling, administration of tests and exams, enrolment data analysis and business intelligence.

Your opportunity:

 

Working under the direction of the Communications Officer, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of future student communications. You will use your strong technical skills to update various recruitment publications including websites, to create collateral that is on-brand and on-message, and support in-person and virtual admissions and student recruitment events. A creative communicator, you’ll be involved in the creation of multi-media assets across a variety of platforms and collaborate with graphic designers, videographers and/or printers. You’ll use your strong writing and editing skills to support outreach efforts to a variety of markets and audiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders.
  • Advising on strategies to align print and electronic publications with marketing/communication objectives.
  • Creating and editing web pages with interactive media and verifying that links to all related websites are up-to-date.
  • Troubleshooting upgrades and improvements to websites.
  • Producing promotional and outreach materials.
  • Maintaining information on a variety of digital platforms.
  • Using the University’s Client Relationship Management Database (CRM), setting up registration forms, emails and surveys for in-person and online events.

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in communications related roles, preferably within post- secondary education and/or with a youth audience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a Client Relationship Management Database (CRM), design software, Mac computer, editing, web design and update tools.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, producing and disseminating marketing/communication materials.
  • Demonstrated experience producing print and web-based communication and outreach materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team centered environment.

Assets (Nonessential):

 

  • Demonstrated experience with photography and/or video production is an asset.
