About Us

The Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto is at the centre of one of North America’s largest biomedical research, education and clinical care networks. With nine fully affiliated research-intensive hospitals — and dozens of community and clinical care sites — Temerty Medicine offers unparalleled opportunities in Canada’s most dynamic city for our more than 9,000 faculty and staff and 7,000 learners at all levels.

Annually, Temerty Medicine contributes almost one-third of the family physicians who train and enter practice in Ontario, and over half of the specialist physicians. We also train hundreds of rehabilitation health professionals, physician assistants and medical radiation technologists, and over 3,000 graduate life-sciences learners — many of whom find work in postsecondary education and industry. Globally, we have over 69,000 alumni.

Your Opportunity

Anchored by a 5-year agile transformation roadmap, Temerty Medicine has made strategic investments to scale our IT infrastructure and service delivery model to promote continuous improvement, to remain ahead of technological advancements, and to deliver high-quality, client-focused IT services to our faculty constituents.

Temerty Medicine’s enterprise IT unit, MedIT was launched in 2023, as a strategic enabler to our educators, learners, clinicians, researchers, and staff. You will represent our goals and priorities in University-wide initiatives, and on related city, provincial and national committees and organizations. As part of the Chief Administrative Officer’s senior leadership team, you will contribute to our Faculty’s strategic priorities and promote the appropriate use of information technology to enhance all aspects of our education, research and administration streams, and you will augment our Faculty’s continued growth and innovation by fostering a culture of cybersecurity and ensuring Temerty Medicine security safeguards support the protection of our digital assets.
