As Donor Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in supporting donor recognition and stewardship activities in the Office of Advancement, Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Working closely with the Director, Donor Engagement and the Development team you will be responsible for coordinating Annual Donor Impact reporting and developing and implementing plans to support stewardship activities that promote interaction and recognition of donors at all levels, with a particular focus on major gift donors. Your exceptional communication skills, initiative and judgement will facilitate personal and meaningful interactions with donors to maintain and strengthen committed engagement and partnership.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing plans to support donor management and stewardship
- Analyzing the impact of stewardship programming and fundraising initiatives
- Serving as the primary point of contact for coordinating and executing tasks and timelines in support of projects and strategic initiatives
- Producing Annual Donor Impact reports, including collecting fund statements, and liaising with faculty members and the development team to collect progress reports
- Coordinating donor acknowledgement, including drafting donor recognition communications, and coordinating physical recognition including the donor wall
- Fostering positive relationships with prospective and existing donors, responding to enquiries and redirecting as appropriate
- Conceptualizing, organizing and executing bespoke stewardship touch points, including organizing logistics and post-initiative evaluation
- Verifying the accuracy and completeness of information and updating prospect databases and portfolios
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting donor management and stewardship
- Demonstrated data management experience producing and presenting professional reports (ie. Donor impact reports) and a variety of communications, including donor acknowledgement and recognition communications
- Demonstrated experience supporting and coordinating advancement projects and strategic initiatives including executing, tracking, implementing, and evaluating project plans
- Demonstrated experience serving as a primary point of contact for projects and programs
- Experience organizing and executing donor events and initiatives
- Experience maintaining a digital filing systems
- Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders i.e. volunteers, team members, donors
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office,and databases
- Ability to work in a fast paced and results oriented environment
- Strong team player who values collaboration
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrates initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail and creativity
Assets (Nonessential):
- Knowledge of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and its hospital partners
- Experience with Arbor and web reporting or a similar fundraising database

USW Pay Band 12 -- $79,874. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $102,147. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
