Description:

The Department of Medical Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the University of Toronto are recruiting a radiologist in the Musculoskeletal Imaging Division. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. The anticipated start date is December 1, 2025. 

The candidate will be part of a five-person Musculoskeletal Imaging Division. The successful candidate will perform radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound (including ultrasound procedures), CT, and MRI. They will demonstrate competence in MSK procedures such as arthrography, image-guided joint aspirations/injections, and bone/spine biopsies. The position includes some cross-coverage of other services as required. The candidate will be an integral part of the teaching faculty of our Residency Program. The academic position description will be assigned based on the candidate’s teaching or research strengths.

The qualified applicant should hold an MD or equivalent, must be Board-certified or Board eligible in Diagnostic Imaging from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, American Board of Radiology, or international equivalent, and must be eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The candidate must be fellowship trained in musculoskeletal radiology.
 
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) is a fully affiliated hospital of the University of Toronto. SHSC has over 1,212 total beds, of which 677 are dedicated to acute care. SHSC provides a wide complement of adult health services and has more than 42,000 emergency visits each year. Musculoskeletal is a major program of the hospital with trauma, cancer and joint replacement being areas of focus. The musculoskeletal program is spread across two sites. In addition to the main Sunnybrook campus, the Holland Orthopedic Centre is a dedicated centre of arthroplasty excellence.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. Compensation is based on a fee-for-service model. The estimated income range will be $300,000 - $500,000 per annum for a full-time equivalent with the opportunity for increased salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
