Description:

The Department of Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking a qualified full-time academic dermatologist. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto with the academic position description of Clinician Teacher (CT), Clinician Educator (CE), Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI), or Clinician-Investigator (CI).). The expected start date of the position is January 1, 2025 or shortly before or thereafter.

 

The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Dermatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The successful candidate will also have or be working towards a graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to their area of specialization. The successful candidate will support outpatient demands and inpatient consultations. They will participate fully in the education programs in Dermatology at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto, as well as lead clinical research and/or quality improvement programs. The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Occupational Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital, which is composed of 2 full time academic physicians, and has an international reputation in intra-disciplinary research.  At the University of Toronto, this candidate will be appointed to the Division of Dermatology.
