Your opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, Recruitment and Admissions, the Recruitment and Admissions Officer is crucial to the efficient and effective recruitment and admission of candidates for the Morning/Evening MBA and Global Executive MBA in Healthcare and the Life Sciences programs.


Early and highly personalized communication with prospective students is fundamental to recruitment and the Recruitment & Admissions Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting this process. The successful incumbent will provide input into the development and implementation of the recruitment and admissions strategies for these programs.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Providing detailed information regarding admission requirements to prospective students and applicants
  • Entering, updating and maintaining application databases
  • Fostering postive relationships with prospective students through effective and timely communication
  • Preparing recruitment and admission reports
  • Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies
  • Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities
  • Preparing recruitment and admission reports


Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or related field or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum four years related experience in recruitment, admissions, sales or marketing environment.
  • Experience writing marketing correspondence and preparing presentations
  • Experience in event planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service and advising students
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of computer sotware; experience in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other related software
  • Knowledge of and experience with databases and student information systems
  • Ability to multi-task; strong organizational skills

USW Pay Band 12 -- $69,730 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $89,172. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
