The Integrated Physician Scientist Training Program (IPSTP) is responsible for the various programs aimed at educatingphysician scientists across the continuum of Undergraduate (MD Program) and Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. The education of clinicians to become self-sustaining, leading clinician scientists is central to the identity of the University of Toronto as an international leader in health research.

As the PSTP Coordinator, you will coordinate and support a wide range of initiatives of IPSTP. You will be responsible for program outreach,coordination, organizing events and workshops, preparing reports and data management. Your demonstrated ability to foster and maintain networks across and outside of the University will be critical in engaging our community to foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting asappropriate
  • Collecting analyzing, scoring and ranking incoming applications for review
  • Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders; Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements.
  • Keeping well-informed on funding opportunities and resources, applicationpolicies/procedures and key deadlines
  • Delivering presentations and producing promotional and outreach materials to increase the visibility of research programs and initiatives
  • Coordinating events and workshops, including conducting post event evaluation and analysis
  • Collecting data and generating reports; Coordinating accreditation and program audit processes.
  • Planning and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects.

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ of relevant academic program coordination experience.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining collaborative and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in support of project or program goals.
  • Experience with data collection and reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of funding programs for graduate students.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of program review and accreditation processes.
  • Experience promoting programming and delivering presentations and workshops to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and executing recruitment events including conducting post-event evaluation and analysis
  • Experience producing promotional and outreach materials
  • Strong experience with planning and estimating financial resources for programs and/or projects.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent project coordination skills, with an ability to foster collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as a collaborative team player
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and virtual and hybrid meeting technology (ie. Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
  • Proficiency with content management systems, learner management systems and student information systems
  • Strong judgement, attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to apply analytical and innovative problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Quercus, MedSIS and ROSI
  • Proficiency with admissions software (KiraTalent, Slate)
  • Experience with WebPac, Drupal
