Your opportunity:

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the office of the Vice Principal by providing detailed
information of programs including eligibility, procedures, policies and deadlines as well as be the main contact
for programmatic questions for internal and external parties.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze internal and external trends to inform program development and recommend enhancements to curriculum and educational programming

  • Review and assess proposals for program and course modifications, advising academic staff on curriculum change policies and governance processes

  • Advise faculty and staff on curriculum policies, procedures, and best practices to support academic planning and implementation

  • Analyze enrolment and waitlist data to identify capacity pressures and recommend adjustments to course offerings

  • Contribute to unit-level planning by assessing program needs and supporting the development of strategic goals and initiatives

  • Analyze service delivery models and internal processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and student experience

  • Conceptualizing, organizing, and executing program activities, and promoting programs at recruitment events 

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience

  • Minimum three (3) years providing undergraduate or graduate program support and guidance to students, staff and faculty 

  • Experience conducting data analysis and preparing reports with a high level of accuracy is required; expereince maintaining databases is desirable

  • Experience conceptualizing and organizing events, which could include events such as workshops, seminars, or programs promotion at recruitment events

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point) is required; experience with student information systems is highly desirable (e.g. degree explorer, ROSI Express, and ROSI)

  • Experience providing advice to students which might include advice about program and course requirements, and/or  monitoring student degree progress 

  • Experience working with students with emphasis on the Faculty of Arts & Science undergraduate academic guidelines and procedures  

  • Demonstrated experience developing and providing a strong client service experience and culture 

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills 

  • Excellent writing and oral and interpersonal skills with a superior service orientation and ability to deal tactfully, personable and effectively with staff and faculty, with students all levels, as well as with general public; ability to maintain confidentiality
