Course number and title: APS500H1 S - Negotiations in an Engineering Context
Course description
Instruction of concepts, theories, and research but most importantly the practice of negotiation skills. The course will cover all kinds of negotiations scenarios that individuals might face in the course of their careers as Engineers; this could include a range of single-issue single-party negotiations to multi-party multi-issues negotiations.

Size of appointment: 54 hrs

Scheduled sections: Thursdays 9-11 a.m.
Sessional dates of appointment:  January 6 - April 30, 2025
Salary: $52.26/hour
Preferred qualifications: .PhD or Masters student with a strong background in organizational behavior or human resources or Negotiations. Previous experience with discussion-based tutorials is an asset, and experience with being a teaching assistant to engineering or business students is a plus.
Description of duties
The SIA duties are in-person.  SIA will a) Conduct/debrief role plays b) assisting individuals or teams with assignments; b) Grading assignments and assessments;  c)attending lecture part during class meeting times; d) attending preparatory or training sessions; e) communicate with students and response to their inquiries; f) other duties as assigned.
