Course description:
This course focuses on designing toward whoel life cycle zero carbon emissions. Students will examine contemporary passive buildign enclosure systems and review appropriate system and component selection, environmental relevance, performance, construction sequence, and coordination with related active building systems.
Estimated course enrolment: 85
Class schedule: Friday 9:00-11:00 with some consultation in a course that meets Monday 9:00-18:00 and Thursday 14:00-18:00
Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 - April 30, 2025
Salary: $52.26 (25 hours)
Minimum qualifications: M.Arch degree or other professional degree in Architecture with demonstrated competence in building science preferred.
Description of duties: Preparation and delivery of course materials; managing digital teaching materials; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours; consultation and coordination with the Comprehensive Building Project Studio, ARC2014.
