Description: Sessional Instructional Assistant - BIOB11H3 - Molecular Aspects of Cellular and Genetic Processes - Winter 2025

The following course requires Sessional Instructional Assistants. 

BIOB11H3 - Molecular Aspects of Cellular and Genetic Processes - Winter 2025

A course focusing on the central dogma of genetics and how molecular techniques are used to investigate cellular processes. Topics include structure and function of the nucleus, DNA replication and cell cycle control, transcription and translation, gene regulation and signal transduction.

 

Winter appointments begin January 6, 2025 and end May 6, 2025

Minimum Qualifications include: ability, academic qualifications, suitability for the position and appropriate background in the subject/specialty. Strong background in cell biology and genetics required.

Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.

 

Duties: Duties for the position may vary and include: preparation for classes, conducting tutorials, office hours, invigilating and marking. Specific duties are defined in the Description of Duties and Allocation of Hours form by the instructor in charge of the course. Please note duties are performed in person at the UTSC campus.
