Course Number and Title: PHL246H1S Probability and Inductive Logic
Course Description: The elements of axiomatic probability theory and its main interpretations (frequency, logical, and subjective). Reasoning with probabilities in decision-making and science.

Estimated Course Enrollment: 200 students
Estimated Number of Hours: 130 Hours
Schedule: Lectures on Thursdays 18:00-20:00; Tutorials on Mondays 18:00-21:00
Sessional Dates of Appointment: January 1st, 2025 - April 30th, 2025
Rate of Pay: $52.26 per hour plus 4% vacation pay

Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree in Philosophy. One year prior experience as a TA, preferably in Philosophy or a related field at U of T. Good prior knowledge of the subject matter of the course.
Description of Duties:
• Holding 3 one-hour tutorials each week
• Preparation for tutorials and grading
• Grading
• Attending training sessions/meetings with the course instructor
• Attending WIT training sessions
• Organizing and submitting grades
• Holding office hours
• Lecture attendance
