Sessional Lecturer - HIS411H1F Great Trials in History
Course Description:
This seminar course will study a handful of great trials in close detail. Using materials from the modern period in Europe and North America, we will look at the clash of ideas represented in these high-profile cases, the historical setting in which they were embedded, the human drama, legal and sometimes constitutional issues, and their impact both on their societies and our own.
Minimum qualifications:
Master of Arts in History or related field required. Mastery of the subject area as related to the course description
Preferred qualifications:
PhD in History preferred. Demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching.
Description of duties:
Developing syllabus; course preparation; Teaching one two-hour classes weekly, in-person lectures; Marking; Conducting scheduled office hours (1 hour/week)
Duties of this position shall be performed at the campus on which the position is located.

Sessional Lecturer I: $ 9,820.70
Sessional Lecturer 1, Long term: $10,510.36
Sessional Lecturer II: $10,510.36
Sessional Lecturer II, Long term: $10,760.28
Sessional Lecturer III: $10,760.28
Sessional Lecturer III, Long term: $11,030.36
