Course description: The nature and organization of phonological systems, with practical work in linguistics analysis.

Hours of Work: 140 hours
Class schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays 19:00-21:00
Sessional dates of appointment: July 1, 2025 - August 31, 2025.

Sessional Lecturers I - $9,457.90
Sessional Lecturers I (Long Term) - $9,930.79
Sessional Lecturers II - $10,121.77
Sessional Lecturers II (Long Term) - $10,326.62
Sessional Lecturers III - $10,362.76
Sessional Lecturers III (Long Term) - $10,570.02

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a solid background in theoretical linguistics and mastery of the course material, including graduate-level research related to the course material.
Preferred Qualifications: A Master's or PhD in a relevant field is preferred. Previous experience working with Teaching Assistants/Graders is desirable. Excellent teaching evaluations and relevant active research are an asset.
A brief description of the duties: The Sessional Lecturer position involves the normal duties related to the design, teaching, and timely administration of a university credit course, including but not restricted to (i) preparation and delivery of course content, (ii) development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams, (iii) calculation and submission of grades, (iv) holding regular office hours, (iv) supervision of TAs or Graders as required.
