Course number and title: URD1021HF - Urban Design Visual Communications
Course description: This August-intensive course is an introduction to contemporary urbanism and urban design visual communication for incoming first-year MUD students. In a hybrid studio and seminar format, the course will situate contemporary issues in urban design visual communication, explore visual communication techniques and methods, and address assignments that offer novel ways of expressing visual communication on urban design matters.

Sessional Lecturer I: $9,820.70
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $10,510.04
Sessional Lecturer II: $10,510.04
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,760.28
Sessional Lecturer III: $10,760.28
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $11,030.36

Minimum Qualifications:
MArch or MLA degree, with an MUD degree or professional architectural or urban design experience preferred. We are seeking applicants with a proven record of teaching graduate-level seminars or studios.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and knowledge of visual communication theory, techniques, and methods, including both non-Western and Western contexts is preferred.
Duties:
Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
