Description:

 

Under general direction of the Assistant Manager, Treasury & Investment Services, the incumbent will: administer the various housing loan assistance programs in accordance with programs' policies; perform a variety of duties related to cash management and investment accounting; perform a variety of duties related to the University's internal and external loan programs; and perform a variety of duties related to the University's merchant accounts and payment card compliance. Duties include: handling the administration of  housing loans and provide information to faculty, librarians and staff of the program's policies and procedures; preparation of financial schedules and reports; review of financial reports, reconciliation of a variety of accounts and preparation and processing of journal entries; gathering and analyzing financial data ranging from moderate to advance complexity for forecasting purposes; liaising with central and divisional offices; and developing programs and reports' specifications and testing of reports.

 

Qualifications Required:


•    A minimum undergraduate degree in accounting or business administration is required.
•    Pursuit of a recognized accounting or treasury professional designation program is preferred
•    Minimum of four years accounting experience, including preparation of reconciliation and analysis; thorough knowledge of spreadsheet software is required. 
•    Experience mapping business and IT processes using systems analysis techniques is an asset
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Access is an asset.
•    Knowledge of the University's Administrative Management System (AMS) or Financial Information System (FIS) is an asset.
•    Equivalent education or experience will be considered

•    Good organizational skills.
