About UTemp

UTemp provides the University of Toronto with a diverse range of talented short-term staff to cover casual vacancies of less than six months. UTemp handles each project with a unique hands-on approach to ensure we find the best candidate for the job. We strive to create long-lasting and successful relationships by finding individuals with strong professional skills and experience, and an open-minded work ethic. Most common short-term positions are: Student Services, Finance & Accounting, Administrative (e.g Receptionist/Executive Assistant), Information Technology, Event Coordinator, Marketing & Communications

 

Our candidates understand that the work we provide is subject to the current short-term opportunities at the University of Toronto (ranging from four hours to less than 6 months contract)

 

General Requirements

 

Experience & Skills

  • Three plus years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated experience using UofT systems such as Quercus, Rosi, SAP, FIS and HRIS is an asset to most of our positions.
  • Experience with similar systems for other higher education institutions is also an asset.
  • Experience in college or university environment, government or non-profit sector is an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly with minimal training.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility, initiative, innovative, with the ability to work and learn proactively. Strong public service orientation, emotionally intelligent with evidence of effective teamwork are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently and carry out projects of varying complexity for extended periods of time.

 

Education

  • College diploma or University degree
