Innovation is equal parts idea generation and execution. A successful innovation manager needs to be able to nurture both their team’s ability to come up with breakthrough ideas grounded in insight and human need, as well as build, sustain, and evolve a new concept within an organization. This all requires deep empathy for others, agile collaboration, and management skills which are all better learned through practice than theory. Innovation Management by Design will immerse students in a case study that is relevant to current real-world challenges so that they will need to rapidly apply and adapt their learnings and develop new business concepts.

Salary: $17,267.74 (incl. 4% vacation pay)
Qualifications: Preferred qualifications are an advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in a relevant discipline (completed), or for non-University of Toronto graduate students, in progress, or relevant qualifications, professional designation or professional experience; an MBA is highly preferable. We are seeking previous experience in teaching, teaching excellence, and mastery of the subject area. Previous experience in teaching a similar course is highly desirable.
Duties: The duties of the Course Instructor shall include the normal duties associated with the design and teaching of university degree credit courses or sections of courses. These include the preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars; the creation of courseware; the development and administration of assignments, tests and examinations; the marking and grading of student work and the submission of grades to appropriate University officials in accordance with policy; the maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours; and the supervision of the day-to-day work of any Teaching Assistants assigned to the course.
